Dental Implants in Loures and Malveira

Restore Your Smile with Dental Implants

Implant dentistry since 1999, with personalised treatment planning, digital technology, and dedicated support throughout every stage of your treatment.

Personalised solutions to replace one or more missing teeth.

Are You Living with One or More Missing Teeth?

Losing one or more teeth affects far more than just your smile. In addition to making it harder to eat and speak comfortably, missing teeth can lead to bone loss, shifting of neighbouring teeth, and changes to your long-term oral health.

Whether you’ve lost a single tooth, several teeth, or you’re looking for a fixed alternative to removable dentures, dental implants can help restore function, comfort, and confidence. At Picon & Mendes Clinic, every case is carefully assessed to recommend the treatment that’s most suitable for you.

Dental implants may be the right solution if you:

The Benefits of Dental Implants

Why more and more people are choosing dental implants to restore their smiles.

Enjoy Comfort and Stability

Unlike removable dentures, dental implants provide a fixed and stable solution that allows you to eat, speak, and smile with greater confidence every day.

Protect Your Oral Health

When a tooth is lost, the jawbone can begin to shrink over time. Dental implants help preserve the bone and maintain the stability of neighbouring teeth, supporting better long-term oral health.

A Long-Lasting Solution

With good oral hygiene and regular follow-up appointments, dental implants can last for many years and, in many cases, a lifetime, making them a reliable and long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth.

Restore Confidence in Your Smile

More than simply replacing missing teeth, dental implants help restore a natural-looking smile, allowing you to smile, speak, and enjoy everyday life with greater confidence.

What Makes Dental Implants One of the Best Solutions?

How We Can Help You Restore Your Smile.

A dental implant acts as a new root for a missing tooth. Once placed into the jawbone, it creates a stable foundation to support a replacement tooth that looks, feels, and functions much like a natural tooth.

At Picon & Mendes Clinic, we use digital technology, personalised treatment planning, and guided surgery to make every procedure more precise, predictable, and tailored to each patient’s needs.

By replacing the missing tooth root, dental implants help preserve the jawbone and maintain the stability of neighbouring teeth, supporting better long-term oral health.

Whether you’re missing a single tooth, several teeth, or looking for a fixed alternative to removable dentures, our team will guide you through every stage of your treatment and recommend the solution that’s right for you.

Experience, Innovation, and a Patient-Centred Approach.

Why Trust Picon & Mendes Clinic for Your Dental Implants?

A Treatment Plan Designed Around You

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment protocols. Before any treatment begins, we carefully assess your case to determine the solution best suited to your needs, always with the goal of achieving a safe, functional, and long-lasting result.

Digital Planning Before Surgery

Before your procedure, we digitally plan every stage of your treatment in detail. This allows us to explore different treatment options, enhance the safety of the procedure, and, in many cases, show you a simulation of the expected result before treatment even begins—helping to achieve a more natural and harmonious smile.

Guided Surgery for Greater Precision

Based on this planning, a personalised surgical guide is created to direct the precise placement of your implants during surgery. This allows for a more controlled, accurate, and efficient procedure, contributing to a more comfortable treatment experience and, whenever appropriate, a smoother and faster recovery.

Technology Backed by Experience

Technology helps us plan every detail, but it never replaces clinical expertise. It is the combination of careful planning, advanced technology, and our team’s experience that enables us to make the best decisions for every patient, with the goal of restoring a smile that looks natural, functions comfortably, and can be worn with confidence.

How Dental Implant Treatment Works

01

Personalised Consultation and Treatment Planning

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive clinical assessment, digital imaging, and time to understand your individual case. We explain all available treatment options, answer your questions, and create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs.

02

Implant Placement

Once your treatment has been planned, the implant is placed using digital technology and guided surgery, allowing for a more precise and predictable procedure. If necessary, complementary treatments, such as bone regeneration, will be discussed beforehand.

03

Final Restoration

After the healing period, your implant is ready to receive its final restoration. The result is a fixed, stable, and natural-looking solution, tailored to your individual needs.

In the vast majority of cases, yes. Depending on the situation, we always provide a temporary removable prosthesis so that the patient is never left without teeth.

After approximately four months, we begin the aesthetic and functional trial phase for the final prosthesis. At this stage, we can fine-tune the appearance and comfort of the final smile down to the smallest detail.

The recovery period usually lasts between 7 and 15 days. It is normal to experience some mild discomfort. We recommend a softer diet during the first three days and provide telephone follow-up. We also always schedule a review appointment one week after surgery.

With proper oral hygiene and regular maintenance appointments, dental implants can be a lifelong treatment.

In addition to telephone follow-up during the first few days, we carry out an in-person review after one week and another after three months. After that, we recommend maintenance and professional cleaning appointments every four to six months.

Yes, once the healing period is complete. The goal is for you to be able to eat foods such as meat, fruit and bread again with complete confidence and comfort.

The cost depends on the number of implants, the techniques used and the type of prosthesis required. After the clinical assessment, we always provide a detailed and transparent treatment plan. We also offer instalment payment options for greater convenience.

In most cases, yes. Following the initial assessment and digital planning, it may be possible to place the implant and a temporary tooth on the same day. Only in specific situations may additional planning be required before the final prosthesis is fitted.

No. The procedure is performed under local infiltrative anaesthesia, ensuring complete comfort throughout the surgery.

During the post-operative period, there may be some mild swelling, particularly on the third or fourth day, but this is temporary and expected.

We also offer sedation protocols for patients who would like additional reassurance and comfort.

Although every surgical procedure involves some degree of risk, dental implants have a very high success rate.

This is why it is essential to choose an experienced and qualified dentist, such as those at our clinic, to ensure that the procedure is safe, comfortable and pain-free.

Computer-guided implant surgery uses digital planning carried out before the procedure to create a personalised surgical guide. This guide directs the precise placement of your implants during surgery, allowing for a more accurate, controlled, and efficient treatment. In many cases, this results in a less invasive procedure, greater comfort during treatment, and a smoother, faster recovery.

It depends on your individual case. There are different solutions for replacing missing teeth, including single dental implants, multiple implants, implant-supported dentures, and treatments such as All-on-4® or All-on-6®. Following a comprehensive clinical assessment, we recommend the treatment option that best suits your needs rather than applying the same approach to every patient.
